Boise

You know you are in Idaho when you see this in Downtown Boise! Classic...
To finish out our road trip Mom and I went back to Boise to see the rest of the Becker family and of course Shauna and Joe. Shauna took us on a fabulous horse ride tour through the dairy. Definitely one of my favorite parts about our trip! Joe spoiled us with a gourmet dinner, homemade pecan pie, breakfast each morning and coffee with raw FRESH milk.  Now this is a bed and breakfast we will be going back to!

Twin new born babies!

On Monday we took Lauren and Alyssa (Phil and Andrea's girls) to a park in downtown Boise.

And we finished our trip with a dinner out with the Beckers. This is Phil, Andrea, Alyssa and Lauren

Ted and Sharron

Shauna, Joe, Lisa and Tim
(PS... Joe braved all 14 of us Beckers and joined us for dinner. Thank you JOE!!!)

The newest Becker family member Alexandra (Lexi),  and Lauren

Eric, Elena, Thomas and Lexi. Thomas is busy playing with his favorite toy in the world (A Blue Angel jet.) Thomas came to the airshow in Idaho Falls last July. When I asked him who the pilot was he said "FRANK!" and when I asked him what number it was he said "5!" He is pretty sure he is going to grow up to be a Blue Angel one day. Pretty sweet.

Oh yes... this pic needs some explaining. So Shauna's newest hobby is shooting these guns from her horse. Yep, not even joking. She actually is getting into competitions for these shoot outs. They ride around shooting blanks at baloons... sounds pretty epic huh?  I know, I tell her all the time she is the biggest hick I know- and it seems to be getting worse :) Sha let me shoot the guns and I have to say it was pretty cool.

Walla Walla

After spending a few days with Grandma, Mom and I were off to Walla Walla.  Mom is such a cool road trip buddy. We had such great conversations along the way. We traveled 650 miles together.
This is us in Lewiston having lunch.

Mark and Sheryl took us to their golf club for brunch. SO great to see them!

Anna and Jenny! It was so good to catch up with my college buddies. I was able see Marshall for the first time since his tragic accident and brain injury. I also got the meet their little girl Linley.

Kenya Potter- our new kitten!

Meet Kenya! (but you say it with Gregg's accent like 'keenya'). I found her on craigslist just days before she was off to the pound. Gregg and I went together to see if she was the right kitten for us and she most definitely is. It's really great to come home to a furry little creature- especially the nights I'm home alone. Sorry Bethy- you will have to bring some benadryl on your next visit!

Nezperce and the ranch

Mom and I are on a fabulous road trip in Idaho to see Grandma, some friends in Walla Walla, and down through Boise to see Shauna and the rest of the Becker family. I will get to see all of the Beckers on this trip- pretty cool! Grandma, Mom and me just went out to the ranch to see the awesome green rolling hills of the palouse.

Baltimore

After the wedding in Virginia we spent some time with Keri, Ryan and the twins in Washington DC and then Gregg and I cruised around Baltimore for the afternoon. Here are some more pics from the last part of our East Coast trip.

Bos and Beezie's wedding weekend

We had such a wonderful trip to the East Coast for Bos and Beezies wedding! Bos is a long time friend of Gregg's from South Africa. They were be fri's and neighbors when they were 5 years old. Beezie is from Virginia, and they met in Tanzania. Their story reminds me a bit of our story. It was fabulous to be a part of their very fancy, gorgeous wedding weekend!

Thursday started out with a meet and greet cocktail party. Friday was a 'game day' where we shot clay pigeons, played in the pond, competed in an egg toss, and the boys played some touch rugby. Very festive and fun had by all!

We stayed on a beautiful property in The Plains, Virginia. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and we had stunning views, and a great pool to ourselves.

Bronwyn, Tammy, Beezie and me.  Team South Africa made a huge effort with this wedding. We think there were about 25 people that made the trip. We made lots of new friends and have all kinds of peeps signed up to come visit us in San Diego this summer. Thank you Bos and Beezie for a beautiful wedding weekend!
